Remodelers Council CADRE Award
Houston Remodelers Council honored with Award from the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C.
On January 27, 2021, the Greater Houston Builders Association’s (GHBA) Remodelers Council was honored to receive the highest national award by the Washington, D.C. based National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The award was accepted by Remodelers Council President, William Cole, CGR, CAPS, owner of Divine Renovation and Donna Buenik with the Greater Houston Builders Association.
The Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADRE) are presented annually to Remodelers Councils and individuals throughout the country, whose work exemplifies the best practices of the remodeling industry. The Houston Remodelers Council received the 2020 national “Large Council of the Year” award via a live broadcast.
Through innovative activities and programs, the Greater Houston Builders Association Remodelers Council grew its membership by 30%. This growth is attributed to goals attained such as online education, contract seminars, membership recruitment and engaging programs such as the charity projects, member scholarships, and informative meetings.
In perfect timing due to the pandemic, the council realized remodeler education must be made easily accessible to the entire membership and began providing classes online through live classes and webinars. Now many classes can be taken safely and at times that will not take valuable time away from business.
The Houston Remodelers Council wants to thank its members for volunteering their time, materials and services to the annual projects and board positions that are so important to the council’s long history of success.
