HomeAid Houston Recognizes Remodelers Council Members
In April, the Greater Houston Builders Association’s (GHBA) Remodelers Council continued its history of giving back to the Houston area through its annual charity renovations. Partnering with HomeAid Houston, the council renovated the facilities of Santa Maria Hostel and Lydia’s Place to better serve the residents and their families. The projects were headed by Melanie Heinrich with TriFection Remodeling & Construction, Cassie Milam with The Detering Co., Remodelers Council President Sherry Pruitt, owner of Whodid It Designs & Remodeling, William Cole, owner of Divine Renovation and Donna Buenik, Director of Builder Programs, GHBA.
The Remodelers Council, led by Will Cole, owner of Divine Renovations, replaced eight air conditioning units at Lydia’s Place, painted eight units and repaired water-damaged walls and floors. In addition, Appliances were purchased for several units and for the office. Remodelers Council volunteers built a shed to house tools and are devising a plan to renovate the the walkway leading to the units.
